Ross Ventrone was signed by the Patriots as a rookie free agent on April 29, 2010 ... Released by the Patriots (8/20/10)... Re-signed by the Patriots (8/23/10) ... Released by the Patriots (9/4/10) ... Resigned to the practice squad by the Patriots (10/19/10).

 



College

  • Three-year starter at Villanova after transferring from Pittsburgh, where he began his college career as a walk-on.
  • Ventrone was the leader of a secondary that was one of the best in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) in 2009 .
  • Recorded 73 tackles including 53 solo stops, 6.5 tackles for loss and three quarterback sacks.
  • Was in on 198 tackles in his three-year career with the Wildcats.
  • Had a team-best four interceptions in 2008.
  • After being redshirted as a freshman in 2005, he worked on the scout team in 2006 before landing a scholarship to Villanova.
