Shane Waldron was named tight ends coach on Head
Coach Bill Belichick's staff in 2009.
Waldron served as a coaching assistant for the Patriots in
2008 after three seasons as an offensive graduate assistant
at Notre Dame, where he focused primarily on the offensive
line. He previously spent three seasons (2002-04) as a
football operations intern then as an operations assistant
for the Patriots.
Waldron was a three-year letterman as a tight end and deep snapper at Tufts University, in Medford, Mass.
Waldron received a degree in economics from Tufts in 2002. A native of Portland, Ore., Waldron graduated from LaSalle High School in 1997. He attended Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass., in 1998 before attending Tufts.
