Corey Mays was born on November 27, 1983... First player from the Chicago Public League to play at Notre Dame since Chris Zorich... A second-team pick on the USA Today All-American team... Extra Points

  • When Corey enrolled at Notre Dame, he founded and was the CEO of an organization called Positive Concepts, which was designed to help underprivileged children. One of his goals for the program was to help provide teens in both his hometown of Chicago and South Bend with positive role models.
  • Corey's last haircut came during his freshman year at Notre Dame when he shaved his head. He has grown out his dreadlocks since Aug. 2001.
  • Corey's brother, Daniel Allen, earned a scholarship to play football at Hampton University this fall.
