Extra Points

  • Garrett collected 201 career receptions at Tulsa, ranking him second in Division I-A history among tight ends and third in school history among all players.
  • The University of Tulsa was the only school to offer Garrett the chance to play tight end. Other schools like Air Force, New Mexico State and Oklahoma State offered scholarships with the idea of him playing linebacker.
  • University of Tulsa football is special in the Mills family. Garrett's father, Mike, played offensive line for Tulsa and his uncle, Kevin Harlan, suited up at tight end for the Golden Hurricane.
